A. As of 2026, WAIFF operates multiple local editions, including in Cannes (France), Korea, Brazil, Japan, and China. If an applicant is eligible to submit to a local edition, they are not permitted to submit to WAIFF Cannes.
Therefore, Korean nationals or applicants who fall under the eligibility criteria for the Korea local edition are not allowed to submit to WAIFF Cannes and may submit only to WAIFF Seoul.
A. Yes, those can be submitted as well.
WAIFF Seoul does not impose any specific restrictions on whether a work has been premiered or previously released. Therefore, you can submit your video even if it has already been released on external platforms such as YouTube or has been submitted to other film festivals.
However, please note that the video you submit must have been created after October 1, 2024.
A. WAIFF Cannes and WAIFF Seoul are independently operated, separate film festivals, and therefore each edition has different categories and submission regulations.
